5k Fun Run Information (Sunday, April 27, 2013)
The 3.1-mile run course is a flat and fast 1-loop course with out-and-back section at the beginning/end. Hydration stations will be at .6 miles and 2.1 miles and stocked with water, Gatorade and ice. Porta-cans will be near every hydration station.
Registration
You may register online, at any of the packet pickups listed below, or on race morning for a slightly higher cash fee.

Packet Pickup
Runners may pickup their packet during any of the following days. All pickups are in Kemah but for those of you that do not live close we conveniently allow race morning pickup. With less than 300 people running race morning pickup should not take long at all. However, if you would like to pickup your packet (shirt and race number with timing tag) prior to race morning, you may do so on Friday or Saturday in Kemah under the big white tent at Star Fleet. Here is the address and schedule for pickup.
Start & Finish
The start and finish of the run course take place in the same spot. The fun run uses the finish of the triathlon on Grove Street at the entrance of Star Fleet Yachts just in front of the big white post race tent where registration and packet pickup take place.
Awards
Due to the total number of athletes being less than 300 we will only be issuing awards to the top 3 overall male and female runners.
Parking
Parking is located at the Target/Home Depot lots across 2094 where all the triathletes and spectators are parking. Click Here to see a parking map.
Packet Pickup
Rules & Restrictions

•No foul language.

•If you have a stroller you start in the very back of the start chute and stay as far to the right throughout the entire course as possible.

•No motorized vehicles of any kind.

•No rollerblades, roller skates, or skateboards.

•No pacing by outside individuals not officially registered for the race.

•No cutting the course.
Schedule of Events
Timing
Every runner will be timed either by a tag on the back of their run bib or by a tag that is to be put around the runner’s shoe lace. Please pay attention to what we give you and tell you at packet pickup concerning timing tags.
